What is 3CX StartUp?

Until now, all 3CX installs were dedicated. Now with 3CX StartUp Edition, we have a choice of shared or dedicated servers. StartUP is our shared instance solution for smaller companies, whilst Dedicated is for larger or more complex telephony requirements.

Typically, 3CX StartUp is designed for customers in the 2-30 user space.

The benefit of 3CX StartUp is it’s on a shared server, but each customer is on a segmented group, that’s completely independent of each other. This means that StartUp customers can leverage the same 3CX features, but at a highly reduced price.

With Tronic 3CX StartUP each customer still gets dedicated lines, phone numbers and an itemised bill each month. We even take care of the technical side of things such as hosting, backups and security to name a few.

3CX StartUp is a complete, unified communications solution, meaning it goes beyond just phone calls to include features like intuitive web client, PC application, IOS & Android smartphone apps, messaging/chat, video calls, live chat, web conferencing, email and more.

That’s right, all user get a mobile application, web client, PC or Mac application and even the option to add a physical deskphone. All sharing the same extension number. Users also have instant access to communication tools such as status, instant messaging, web conferencing, the ability to chat & talk with external clients/visitors, fax & voicemail to email to name a few. Staff now can work from home without impacting customer service levels or sales.

Web client

The 3CX Web Client is essentially a dashboard or control panel, that combines all the call and communication features that you need to connect with your colleagues, partners and customers from your browser. The Web Client has complete telephony functionality and gives access to audio and video calls, call hold, transfer and conferencing, access to IP phones, chat functionalities and file transfers.

iOS and Android applications

3CX StartUp is built for mobility, with iOS and Android apps that keep your team connected without tying them to the office building. Make and receive calls using your office number, chat with co-workers or start a video call on the fly. Ensure your customers are never left hanging. Respond to their calls, Facebook, SMS or live chat messages from anywhere, from the web client or your smartphone.

Video conferences can be easily launched through the 3CX web client, mobile apps or PC application.

1.        How many SIP trunk channels/lines do you need?

A SIP trunk is the modern version of a phone line. One SIP trunks can have one or multiple Channels. A SIP trunk is simply the connection between your system and the world. A SIP channel is the capability to support one incoming or outgoing call.

Each 3CX StartUp solutions comes with a Tronic SIP Trunk Included as standard.

 

2.      Pick PAYG (Pay As You Go) or INCLUDED calls.

You then have the option to Include outbound phone calls for a fixed rate per month. This is our INCLUDED plan.

Or you can pay a smaller monthly fee and have a PAYG plan where calls are charged on a per call bases.

3.      How many Users will be on the system?

This is the easy part. A “user” is any extension on the 3CX that needs an extension number. For example, if your business has 5 staff, then you would need 5 users.

Each 3CX StartUp user gets an IP desk phone port (hardware not included), web client, PC Application and either an IOS or Android soft phone client/application.

These are priced at $5.00 per user/extension per month

4.      How many DID or Phone numbers do you need?

A DID number or a Direct In Dial Number is basically an advertised phone number that people can call your business externally. This can ring to a group of extensions or a single extension/user.

Generally, a business will have a main advertised phone number and a fax number.

Then some other businesses have users that need to be contacted directly, without being transferred from a receptionist. These users then can have a dedicated DID number. You can nominate all users on the system to have a direct DID number, or only some users. This is up to you.

These are priced at $0.75 cents per month, per DID or phone number on your account

We can even port your existing number from a different provider to your Tronic 3CX StartUp.

The discounted 3CX porting cost for this is $20 for a Cat-A port and $200 for a Cat-C port. More porting information ->
