Until now every 3CX install was dedicated. StartUp is our shared-instance solution for smaller companies (typically 2–30 users), while Dedicated suits larger or more complex needs. You get the same 3CX features at a highly reduced price.

How many SIP trunk channels do you need?

A SIP trunk is the modern version of a phone line — the connection between your system and the world. Each channel supports one simultaneous incoming or outgoing call. Every 3CX StartUp solution comes with a Tronic SIP trunk included as standard; add channels for the number of calls you need at once.

PAYG or INCLUDED — which should I choose?

Choose a fixed monthly rate with calls included, or a smaller monthly fee and pay per call.

INCLUDED — $40 per channel / month with local, STD, national, Australian mobile and 1300 outbound calls included (fair use applies).

PAYG — $10 per channel / month plus calls: local / STD / national 6c per minute, Australian mobile 13c per minute, 1300 outbound 26c per call.

How many users will be on the system?

A user is any extension that needs its own number — five staff means five users. Each user gets an IP deskphone port (hardware not included), the web client, the Windows / Mac app and an iOS or Android softphone. Users are $5.00 per user / extension per month.

How many DID / phone numbers do you need?

A DID (Direct In Dial) is an advertised number people call to reach your business — it can ring a group or a single user. Numbers are $0.75 per month each, and you get 1 FREE DID for every line you add (two lines = two numbers). We can port your existing numbers too: $20 for a Cat-A port and $200 for a Cat-C port. Each 3CX StartUp solution includes one Tronic SIP trunk as standard. Add channels, users and numbers to suit your team.
