Yeastar P-Series Pricing in Australia: What Determines the Cost

Yeastar pricing works differently from most cloud phone products, because Yeastar gives you a genuine choice of how to buy: a hardware appliance you own, a software edition you host, or a cloud subscription. Each has a different cost shape. Yeastar sells through channel partners, so exact Australian pricing comes via a quote – but the structure below tells you what you’re pricing and what actually moves the number.

The three ways to buy, and their cost shapes

  • Appliance (P550 / P560 / P570): a once-off hardware purchase sized by users – roughly 50, 100 and 300 users respectively – plus an annual plan for software features. Highest upfront, lowest ongoing; you own the asset.
  • Software edition: no Yeastar hardware to buy; you supply the server or VM. Licence follows user tiers.
  • Cloud: subscription per user tier, nothing on-site, lowest upfront. Over several years, the appliance can work out cheaper for stable teams; cloud wins for fast-changing ones.

The plan tiers

Across all three deployments, P-Series features come in plans (Standard through Enterprise/Ultimate): higher tiers unlock the omnichannel messaging, call-centre queue consoles, advanced reporting and CRM integrations. Sizing the plan to what you’ll actually use is where a good partner earns their keep – most businesses need the middle tiers, not the top one.

What to add on top of the licence

  • SIP trunks and numbers – your call carriage, via Tronic SIP trunks, including porting existing numbers.
  • Handsets – optional; the Linkus apps are included and many desks need nothing more.
  • Setup and support – configuration, and crucially, who handles the endless small changes afterwards.

The TCO difference: support that’s actually included

Same story we tell on 3CX pricing, because it’s the same trap: per-ticket support fees and DIY admin time are the hidden line items that blow out phone system TCO. Every Yeastar system from Tronic includes our free basic support – any request under 15 minutes (new users, greetings, ring groups, app issues) costs nothing. Nobody on your team needs to learn PBX administration, and the quote you sign is the cost you live with.

Getting a real number

Tell us your user count, how many calls happen at once, whether you want the box on-site or in the cloud, and which features matter (queues? messaging? CRM?). That’s enough for a firm quote – and if you’re still weighing platforms, start with our Yeastar buyer’s guide and the 3CX vs Yeastar comparison.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a Yeastar phone system cost in Australia?

It depends on deployment: appliances (P550/P560/P570) are a once-off purchase plus an annual feature plan, while cloud is a per-user subscription. Yeastar sells via partners, so get a quote sized to your users, concurrent calls and feature tier – we’ll price all three deployment options side by side.

Which is cheaper – Yeastar appliance or cloud?

Stable team over 3-5 years: the appliance usually wins on total cost. Fast-growing or seasonal team: cloud’s flexibility usually wins. We’ll model both in a quote.

Is Yeastar cheaper than 3CX?

They’re priced on different axes – Yeastar per user tier, 3CX per simultaneous call. Small teams often find Yeastar’s simplicity cheaper; larger call-light teams often favour 3CX’s model. Quote both; we supply both.

Do Yeastar plans include support?

Yeastar provides vendor support for the platform, but day-to-day changes are on you or your partner. Tronic includes basic support free – requests under 15 minutes cost nothing – with every Yeastar system we deliver.
